Who is it for?
This workshop is for anyone interested in experimenting with materials and techniques to produce an imaginative still-life study and caters for all abilities from beginners to experienced artists.

The least experienced will learn about new techniques, whereas the more experienced artists will benefit from taking a fresh approach to this subject in a new, creative environment.

What is the workshop about?
We will be looking at various 20th & 21st century contemporary artists for an insight into how they interpret still life. We will work with charcoal, pastel, coloured pencil and water colour pencil on different coloured papers. We will pay attention to scale, composition, positive and negative space, line and tone, pattern and texture, colour permutations, perspective, narrative and translation of a still life image.
