Welcome to Chapel View Studio
Chapel View Studio sits in the natural beauty of Hadrian’s Wall country, an area ideal for outdoor sketching and photography; so why not take the opportunity to unwind and enjoy one of our creative workshops? We are both professional artists and enthusiastic about the arts. We have a broad knowledge of art and art practices and a wide range of skills, but most importantly we love creating and sharing our skills and ideas with others.
Studio & Workshops
The studio is light, warm and spacious; a friendly, relaxing environment where you can feel at ease and be creative. We keep our groups small (2 – 8 persons) to ensure you get the best out of your workshop experience and to enable us to provide one-to-one tuition or just friendly, helpful advice - the option is yours.
We have workshops to cater for all abilities. They are structured enough for you to develop your style and skills but loose enough to allow creativity. Most begin with an insight into other artists’ work and include practical demonstrations, helpful critiques, visual displays and other reference materials, but we always leave plenty of time for you to produce your own work.
Weather permitting, some workshops will include time spent in the nearby countryside to sketch, take photographs and gather materials.
We run 1 & 2 days workshops and art/holiday breaks. However, we can also tailor our workshops to suit your own requirements; so if you or your art group have something specific in mind, please contact us; we will always do our best to accommodate you.
The art studio is attached to our B&B so that we can offer residential workshops.
Workshops run from 10am to 4pm daily, with lunch and refreshments provided.
